Dear Friends of the Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale,

I am delighted to welcome you to our 51st season. With a full roster of 99 members, including 30 newly accepted singers, we are grateful for the opportunity to share a remarkable season of choral and orchestral music with audiences throughout the Treasure Valley.

We begin with the distinct honor of being showcased on the Idaho American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference’s Gala Concert. We will perform Giselle Wyers’ The Lips of the Sky, a newly composed multi-movement work that 17 of our members recently performed at Carnegie Hall.

Our season continues in November at the Morrison Center with two exciting projects. First, the BPMC sopranos and altos will join the Boise Philharmonic for performances of Holst’s The Planets. Later that month, a select ensemble from the BPMC will perform Elf in Concert, bringing the holiday film to life alongside the orchestra.

Begun in 1975, our annual performances of Handel’s Messiah remain one of BPMC’s most cherished traditions. We are honored to continue offering this beloved work to our community each Christmas season. This year’s performances will take place December 18th & 19th at Cathedral of the Rockies.

In the spring, our full symphonic chorus returns to the Morrison Center for Bruckner’s monumental Te Deum. We conclude the season with a select ensemble performing Heroes: A Video Game Symphony, a concert experience that brings the music and storytelling of video games to life through orchestra and chorus.

The beauty of a large choral ensemble comes from many individual voices working together to create something greater than any one singer could create alone. We are grateful to share that collective artistry with you! Whether you have been attending our performances for decades or are joining us for the first time this season, thank you for being part of the BPMC community.
