Hi everyone!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 season!

Each fall, we bring together a community of young musicians whose hard work, curiosity, and dedication make BPYO an inspiring place to learn and grow. This season marks an exciting milestone as we welcome Lauren Folkner as our new Strings and Repertory Orchestra conductor. Lauren brings tremendous energy, expertise, and passion for music education, and we are excited for the impact she will have on our students and our program.

The success of BPYO is made possible through the partnership of many people. We are grateful to our school music educators and private teachers, whose dedication prepares students to thrive, and to the musicians of the Boise Philharmonic, whose artistry inspires our young performers to reach ever higher. My sincere thanks also go to Music Director Eric Garcia for his steadfast support of our youth orchestra program, the Boise Philharmonic office staff for the countless details they manage behind the scenes, and our wonderful parents and volunteers, whose generosity of time and encouragement make so much of what we do possible.

Most of all, we celebrate our students. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and willingness to work together remind us of the extraordinary power of music to connect people and strengthen our community.

Thank you for joining us as we celebrate another season of growth, inspiration, and exceptional music-making. We look forward to sharing it with you.
