Required:

Come curious.

You don’t need to know the music to enjoy the moment. Here is a little guidance for your first Boise Phil concert.

Before you arrive

Make the evening
your own.

Start with a concert that interests you.

Choose a program that catches your curiosity. Buy through the Boise Phil’s official box office, and check your ticket for the performance date, venue, and start time.

Dress & arrival.

Wear what makes you comfortable. You will see a range of styles in the hall. Leave time for traffic, parking, and finding your seat.

Check the event page for pre-concert talk details if you would like an introduction to the program. Talk times vary by performance.

Length & children.

Most symphonic performances last around two hours with an intermission. Other formats vary; check the individual event page.

Children are welcome, but the right program depends on age, interests, and the concert length. Contact the box office for help choosing.

Once you’re here

Listen your way.

A few simple courtesies help everyone enjoy the music.

Follow a melody, notice an instrument, or simply take in the sound. Your concert program and program notes can help you explore what you are hearing.

Phones, applause & late seating.

Silence electronic devices and keep cameras and recording devices off during the performance. If you are unsure when to clap, follow the audience or wait for the conductor to turn toward the hall.

Late arrivals are seated at an appropriate break. Ask venue staff for help when you arrive.

Audio and video recording of any kind is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the performance.

Access & tickets.

For wheelchair and companion seating, listening assistance, or other access needs, contact the box office before choosing seats.

Call (208) 344-7849 or email tickets@boisephil.org. Read the ticket policy for purchase and transfer details.
