Welcome to the Boise Phil’s 2026–27 Season!
This year, we explore masterpieces by a wide range of musical voices, from Sibelius, Holst, Elgar, and Schoenberg to many others.
We are thrilled to welcome an exceptional roster of guest artists, including violinist Timothy Chooi for Sibelius’ introspective Violin Concerto; pianists Fei-Fei and Michelle Cann, performing Beethoven and Gershwin, respectively; and cellist Julian Schwarz, who joins us for Jennifer Higdon’s new Cello Concerto—continuing the Boise Phil’s ongoing exploration of Higdon’s music. The Boise Phil Master Chorale joins us for Bruckner’s monumental Te Deum, while musicians of the Boise Phil Youth Orchestra join us for Dvořák’s celebratory Carnival Overture. Our symphonic season concludes with Jessie Montgomery, Copland, and Gershwin in a program devoted to American music.
Beyond our symphonic concerts, we hope you will join us for Elf in Concert and Handel’s Messiah, which bring two very different traditions to the holiday season; Heroes: A Video Game Symphony; and a tribute to the iconic Music of Led Zeppelin.
This season also marks another year serving as Boise’s Cultural Ambassador, a role that reflects the work we do onstage, in schools, and through programs across the Treasure Valley. We are honored to continue finding ways to bring music into the lives of people throughout our community.
There’s much ahead this season, and I can’t wait to experience it with you in the hall.
