Mayor of Boise
Hello and welcome to the 2026-2027 season of the Boise Philharmonic.
Over the past year, the Boise Philharmonic has served as the City of Boise’s official Cultural Ambassador, and what a fantastic year it has been! From celebrating America’s 250th birthday to welcoming over 60,000 guests at performances across the city last season—Boise Phil has a clear and dear mark in our community.
As Boise’s premier professional orchestra, with a history extending back to the 1890s, Boise Phil has grown alongside Boise for generations, evolving from a local ensemble into a regional organization that reflects the spirit and resilience of the community we serve.
Now, in their 66th year, I am pleased to share that this season will feature renowned guest artists from across North America and a Grammy Award winning pianist. This year, we can also look forward to the live orchestra performance of Elf the film in concert and Idaho’s premiere of Heroes: A Video Game Symphony.
The Boise Philharmonic plays a special part in our community through their education and outreach programs, serving thousands of students across the Treasure Valley. Initiatives like their School Concerts and Boise Phil Youth Orchestra, along with smaller performances at local libraries and community events reflect a true commitment to making the arts more accessible to everyone.
We are so fortunate to have such creative and talented performers in Boise, and I’m excited to celebrate their artistry with you throughout the season.
