Brendan Grzanic

Brendan Grzanic has been a member of the Boise Phil since 2011. He is a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and he received his Orff-Schulwerk Level I certification in the summer of 2015.

Brendan has spent most of his life here in the Treasure Valley and has been teaching in the West Ada School District since 2010. He currently teaches band and music at Victory Middle School and is an assistant director at Centennial High School during the fall marching band season. Prior to joining the teaching staff at Victory, Brendan taught music and band at Pioneer School of the Arts and Galileo STEM Academy.

While at Boise State, Brendan studied trumpet with Professor Marcellus Brown and was a principal trumpet player in the University’s Symphonic Winds and the University Orchestra. In addition to his work with the Boise Phil, Brendan has performed with the Boise Baroque Orchestra, the Boise City Band, the Boise Music Week Orchestra, the Treasure Valley Concert Band, the Meridian Symphony, and the Hymns of Thanksgiving Orchestra. He is also an active performer in the community and frequently performs with several local brass quintets and chamber ensembles.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys listening to music, woodworking, biking, and backpacking in the mountains.
