Natalie Boberg

Violinist, Natalie Boberg, is a versatile soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Her playing has been noted by Vijay Gupta of Street Symphony and the LA Philharmonic as, “beautifully personal, with instincts that are so on.” Natalie made her debut as a soloist with the Utah Symphony in 2018, performing Mark O’Connor’s Double Violin Concerto under Maestro Connor Covington. She has since appeared as a soloist with the Colburn Chamber Orchestra alongside Anne Akiko Meyers, Lake Avenue Chamber Orchestra, and Gifted Music School Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Natalie placed second at the University of Michigan’s M-Prize Competition and earned a bronze medal at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music’s national competition. She has also performed at major summer festivals including Music Academy of the West, Aspen Music Festival, Domaine Forget, Meadowmount, BU Tanglewood Institute, and Interlochen. In addition to her violin studies, Natalie trained vocally for nine years with the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus’ Bel Canto ensemble and studied conducting at the Colburn School with Maxim Eshkenazy.

Natalie’s mission is to share engaging musical experiences and the art of the violin with the world. She is particularly passionate about contemporary music and collaborating with living composers and artists on new projects. Drawing on her background as a violinist, vocalist, dancer, and visual artist, she creates interdisciplinary programming designed to reach wide audiences and inspire new generations of classical music lovers. She is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Magari Ensemble, which presents purpose-driven performances across the country. Through the ensemble’s Subject to Change Initiative, Natalie is dedicated to commissioning, performing, recording, and publishing new works by women and gender-minority composers. A committed educator, she has held faculty positions at New England Conservatory Preparatory School and Boston Music Project, where she focuses on nurturing young artists and building inclusive musical communities.
