Learn About the Music

The Boise Phil is about more than performance. We want to engage our community in the history of classical music, the context of a particular symphony or arrangement, the biographies of our past and present master composers, and to have fun! Take advantages of our various online and in-person programming to learn more about who we are, what we play, and why.

Season Overview
We’ve asked our music director to give insight into how and why the season has been designed the way it has. Learn about the pieces, the arrangements, the connections, the history, and the context for what the Boise Phil is offering.

Our host Jamey Lamar will discuss musical influences, history of composition, composers, era, and answer questions to enhance your listening experience.
