RAVEL & STRAUSS
Conductor Eric Garcia
January 24 & 25, 2026
Morrison Center
Honor memories of time gone by and the resilience of the human spirit with this special concert featuring standing-ovation favorites. BPYO seniors join in a performance of the late David Alan Earnest’s thrilling overture Turbulence before Boise Phil’s Principal Cellist Philip Kettler takes center stage for Saint-Saëns’ evocative and technically stunning Concerto for Cello No. 1. Then, Ravel pays homage to the Baroque era and two friends lost in World War I in Le Tombeau de Couperin. The evening closes with charm and romanticism of a Viennese world in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier Suite.
