Boise Phil’s Community Engagement Program is a series of initiatives that take music out of the concert hall and into our communities, providing opportunities to engage with the artists and the music in deeper, more meaningful ways while helping to ensure greater access to quality music experiences.

Boise Pride Parade – September 10th, 2023
-9:30 am – 11:00 am
Founded in 1989, Boise Pride Festival is set to celebrate its 33rd Anniversary this year.

Exceptional support from our community has made the festival a stand-out LGBTQ+ celebration. We strive to promote unity and celebrate the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities, engaging the Boise community year-round. Boise Pride Fest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of Boise, Idaho.

Boise Brewing – September 23rd, 2023
-7:00 pm (21+)
Celebrate the Boise Phil being Boise Brewing’s Non-profit of the month! Come grab drink and listen to some familiar tunes from our Brass Quintet.

Boise Phil at First Friday – October 6th, 2023
– 5:30 – 9pm (All ages)

These family-friendly evenings give you a chance to meet Garden City’s artists in their studios and work spaces. Plus, you’ll find hands-on art activities at artKids tables and keep an eye out for roving and pop-up artists and performances throughout the night. Our Woodwind Quintet will be performing at the Surel’s place residence.

Boise Downtown Library – October 26th, 2023
– 5:00 – 7:30pm (All ages)
Join us at the Boise Downtown Library for a fun and engaging performance from our chamber ensembles. Hear music from our String Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, and Brass Quintet, enjoy some family friendly activities, and support local music in Boise.

Chamber Music Night Pop Up (Neckar Coffee) – October 27th, 2023
-6:00pm doors, 6:30 dinner, 7:00pm performance
-RSVP ONLY
-$50 ticket through Neckar’s Website
Chamber music pop up events feature our chamber ensembles performing at local businesses and Boise landmarks. Neckar Coffee will be hosting our first pop up of the season. Your ticket includes a performance from our Wind Quintet and dinner and drinks below:
1. A handmade savory galette
2. A side salad
3. 2 glasses of wine (or two beers)
4. A dessert

BPYO Chamber Pop Up (Neckar coffee) – November 11th, 2023

Come start your day with coffee and music! Hear some great student ensembles perform traditional and familiar tunes.

Join us at the Nampa Downtown Library for a fun and engaging performance from our chamber ensembles. Hear music from our String Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, and Brass Quintet, enjoy some family friendly activities, and support local music in Boise.

Boise Phil Annual Pub Crawl – April 26th, 2024
– 6:00 – 9:00 pm (21+)
Bring your friends and family and join us on April 26th for our Annual Boise Phil Pub Crawl! Visit all three locations to hear great music from our chamber ensembles, purchase Boise Phil collectables, and enter in a raffle to win free tickets to upcoming performances.

Chamber Music Pop Up – (Boise) – May (TBA)
Pop up chamber performances at local businesses and landmarks.

PHIL THE HALL

Phil the Hall is a Community Engagement Program that provides free access to Boise Phil performances to nonprofit organizations throughout Southern Idaho. Veteran and nursing homes, youth development organizations, service clubs, and domestic violence shelters are just a few examples of the nonprofits we invite to Phil the Hall.
