Boise Phil’s Community Engagement Program is a series of initiatives that take music out of the concert hall and into our communities, providing opportunities to engage with the artists and the music in deeper, more meaningful ways while helping to ensure greater access to quality music experiences.

COMMUNITY CONCERTS

This season, Boise Phil features family-friendly community concerts that reflect the culture, heritage and vibrancy of our community. Concerts are open to anyone who would like to attend and will be held at various locations throughout Treasure Valley.

COMMUNITY UNITY
CELEBRATE MUSIC – FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT
JANUARY 12, 2023 – 4:30 pm at NAMPA PUBLIC LIBARY (all ages)

Celebrate music with us at the Nampa Public Library! This free community concert will feature four Boise Phil chamber ensembles as well as family-friendly activities celebrating music.

POP-UP cocktail performances (21+)
January 13, 2023 – 6:00 pm AT Craft Lounge and KIN

Our ensembles will be performing at lounges in Nampa and Boise this evening. It’s a rare chance to experience classical music up close and personal while enjoying food and cocktails at your favorite establishments.

Annual Boise Phil pub crawl
April 6th, 2023 – 6:00 – 9:00pm at Downtown Boise venues

The Boise Philharmonic Pub Crawl is Back! Our Boise Phil chamber ensembles will be performing at three downtown pubs (Barbarian Beer Bar, Mad Swede, and Pengilly’s Saloon) on April 6th from 6 – 9pm. If you attend each chamber group performance venue and get a stamp on your Pub Crawl card, you can submit your Pub Crawl card to be entered into a raffle to win free tickets to our May 20th performance of Mahler’s 5th Symphony.

We will also have Boise Phil pint glasses available for purchase at each venue that come with a voucher for 2 dollars off of a beer on us.

BOISE BREWING – String Quartet will perform from 6 – 7:30pm
BARBARIAN – Woodwind Quintet will perform from 6:30 – 8pm
PENGILLY’S SALOON – Brass Quintet will perform from 7- 8:30pm

 

PHIL THE HALL

Phil the Hall is a Community Engagement Program that provides free access to Boise Phil performances to nonprofit organizations throughout Southern Idaho. Veteran and nursing homes, youth development organizations, service clubs, and domestic violence shelters are just a few examples of the nonprofits we invite to Phil the Hall.
