Boise Phil’s Chamber Series heads to the BSU Special Events Center (SPEC) for an evening that beautifully pairs vibrant, modern energy with sweeping Romantic passion.

The night begins with an electrifying showcase by the Boise Phil brass section. Experience the dynamic resonance and rich textures of contemporary brass repertoire, featuring the bold fanfares of Anthony DiLorenzo’s Nexus, the evocative melodies of Emily Hall’s Blackcurrant River, and the colorful, rhythmic drive of Andrew Batterham’s Melbourne Mosaic.

After intermission, the stage transforms for a monumental masterpiece of the chamber repertoire: Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor. Performed by Boise Phil’s strings alongside acclaimed pianist Del Parkinson, this work is a journey of emotional depth—moving from brooding intensity and tender lyricism to a fiery, show-stopping finale in the famous “Rondo alla Zingarese.”

Experience the breathtaking versatility of our musicians as they bridge the brilliant precision of living composers with the profound emotional weight of Brahms—creating a concert experience full of striking contrasts and musical brilliance.

Join us for Chamber 3 at BSU SPEC, where modern brass innovation meets timeless Romantic fire.

Tickets are $20 General Admission + ticketing fees. Limited seating available.
