SONIC BOOM [SEE – HEAR] CURRICULUM

[see-hear] is an eight-week classroom curriculum designed to support teachers and help students achieve music literacy and audiation. This curated musical program will enrich students’ fundamental musical knowledge and teach skills to define and grow their unique tastes, communicate their ideas with self-assurance, and embrace a variety of thoughts.

Music Literacy is the understanding and the identification of the core elements of sound and their expressive nature to respond and connect music authentically.

Audiation connects music literacy and the imagination to sync the mind and body to create and present authentic and expressive art.

__________________________

The curriculum is comprised of two weekly lessons dedicated to practice the seven core elements of sound and connect arts disciplines and demonstrate their underlying unity. Through repetition, students will enrich music literacy and audiation skills through the visual and musical arts. Each lesson will have an accompanying assessment for teachers to track student growth and the curriculum should be used to enrich on-going classroom learning.
