Puccini, Piston & Higdon

This program brings to the stage works by two twentieth-century titans. Piston’s Divertimento is written in the Neoclassical style that finds inspiration in the classical and baroque periods' compositional styles. Puccini’s Crisantemi is one of the few remaining chamber works of the famed opera composer - a work for string quartet dedicated it to the memory of Prince Amadeo di Savoia, Duca d’Aosta and King of Spain.
