Making more meaningful connections is key to the Boise Phil. Our new In Roads programs allow us to reach beyond our concert halls and bring music in different ways and in different venues. We’re building new In Roads partnerships with local correctional institutions, Veterans’ homes, nursing homes, hospitals, homeless shelters, refugee communities, and schools, and with Treefort Music Fest and Story Story Night. We’re also connecting you to the people behind the music through our annual Pub Crawl, monthly Backstage with the Phil program, and new Up Close and Personal events with our Music Director and featured Boise Phil musicians.
Many of the older members of our community can’t come to the music, so we bring it to them. The Boise Phil’s Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, and String Quartet visit various assisted-living communities, free-meal sites, and veteran’s homes to help ensure music and entertainment remain a part of their lives.

Guest Artist Masterclasses
Our guest soloists are part of a masterclass series offered to music students at higher education institutions across the region. These world-class musicians give one-on-one advice and coaching to the next generation of professional musicians.
Make sure to follow us on Facebook to hear when masterclass events are announced.
Phil the Hall
Art, the human expression that binds us all together, should not be inaccessible due to income barriers. Because we believe art belongs to everyone, we recently started our Phil the Hall initiative to invite members from all parts of our community to experience music in the concert hall. If you know of or are part of an organization that serves low-income households and would be interested in attending our concerts for free, reach out to us.
