Ed Video StripLocal Businesses and Foundations Sustain Boise Phil’s Music Education Program

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Boise Phil’s Music Education program has continued to reach thousands of students this school year, offering valuable instruction and mentorship from professional musicians and conductors.

With the help of local businesses and foundations, Boise Phil has created instructional videos that are disseminated online, free-of-charge, to schools and educators throughout Southern Idaho. The videos feature Boise Phil orchestra musicians and are designed for two audiences: elementary students who are in the process of selecting instruments for beginning band and orchestra, and more advanced instrumentalists in middle school and high school working toward ensemble playing techniques.

The generous funders of this program include:

Union Pacific Foundation, Idaho Commission on the Arts, St. Luke’s, Intermountain Gas Company, Gladys E. Langroise Foundation, Julius C. Jeker Foundation, John H. and Orah I. Brandt Community Foundation, Whittenberger Foundation, Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation, League of American Orchestras, and US Bank Foundation.
