Drew Ziemba

Drew is a very busy man! Not only is he performing in eight concerts this season, but he is also helping the Boise Phil Youth Orchestra as a section mentor, he’ll be a part of our new educational videos, as well as showing up for our community engagement efforts. 

Associate Principal Trumpet

Drew Ziemba, a trumpeter from Augusta, Georgia, has earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University, a master’s degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and is currently pursuing a doctorate of musical arts at the University of Colorado Boulder. For several years after his master’s degree, Mr. Ziemba was an active freelance musician in Georgia and performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, Macon Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra Augusta. He has also performed Copland’s Quiet City with the Georgia Southern University Symphonic Wind Ensemble. His primary teachers include Bill Schmid, Alan Siebert, Phil Collins, Justin Bartels, and Tom Booth. Mr. Ziemba currently resides in Broomfield, Colorado.
